Best adhesive for Scamp range backsplash?

Hi folks,

Our '81 Scamp's interior is covered with a heavily textured, rubbery insulation. We're interested in creating a backsplash above the range with a product like this:
https://www.lowes.com/pd/Fasade-Trad...Panels/3400562

What's the best type of adhesive to use for this purpose, given that some heat/moisture will be hitting it during cooking? Thanks!

Thanks! But do you know how heat resistant that is? Obviously we wouldn't want anything off-gassing when cooking something hot.

I looked at this product in person yesterday and decided to back off for now, it's supposed to be safe up to 140°F, which isn't as high as I'd like, but the main question here is still relevant since we'd still like to find a more heat-safe covering.

Best Adhesive = None

You should be able to tuck it behind the backsplash and the upper cabinets. I would not use any adhesive. Maybe a little caulk on the front side where it slips behind the cabinets, but nothing behind it against the Ensolite.

The problem with glue is you'll tear up the Ensolite if you ever need to take the backsplash down for any reason, and there's no matching replacement available.

If you want something a little more permanent, drill out the rivets, slip the backsplash behind the cabinet and put slightly longer rivets through the whole sandwich.

Sorry, good question, but I can't help you with glue.

However, since you will be dealing with possible grease and food splatter, might it not be better to have a backsplash that is completely smooth for ease of cleaning? If the backsplash will be wall mounted, it also might be necessary to seal all around the edges (caulk?), to keep grease and condensation from accumulating behind the splash pad.

I don't know the setup of the stovetop in the scamps, but might it be possible to install a flip-up stove-top cover that also serves as a backsplash?
