boler hinge clean up

I forgot to take before pictures. Hinges had who knows how many coats of paint on them, hardware was mixed up and rusty so I removed the door and all hardware. Buffed all the paint off the hinges and gave them a coat of clear. Replaced all the hardware with SS and changed out the hinge bolts. I will order a rebuild kit for them. Thinking afterward I might polish out the hinges on a bench buffer

Hi: Donna D... Here in South Wet Ontario it's the nicest day of the year!!! Sorry I couldn't resist... My thought's exactly. That spring is vital to the opening of the door. Keeps an even pressure on the brass ball and allows the door to ride up/down on it!!! IMHO.

Will the Scamp hinge repair kit work on the Boler hinges?

New to the Boler trailers but every picture I have seen of the hinges shows the spring on the bottom not the top.
