Boler: Umbrella Add-A-Room

With August right around the corner, stores are starting to clear out their summer/patio stuff. I picked up a cantilever umbrella and a patio umbrella screen for $50.

I mounted the base of the umbrella to the 2x6 plank that my front jack rests on. By doing this, the umbrella is supported by the front weight of the Boler.

As for the screen portion, there is a ring all around the bottom that you fill up with water, which keeps it in place.

Complete setup only take a couple of minutes.

That's a cool idea.
And the wheel holding down the holder is pretty clever.
Would work great with flag poles as well.

I had the biggest laugh looking at the third picture because it looks like your house roof is on your Boler!! For a second I was trying to figure out how/why you built a peaked roof on a trailer before I realized it was just the perfect perspective of the shot

That's a great idea! I'd love some kind of awning at some point, but I figure I've got a lot of other fish to fry first. I'll be sure to keep on the lookout for one of these umbrellas with the season close outs.

What an inventive idea!
How does the screen part attach to the umbrella?
