Burro bunk bed toddler catcher

I found a pickup truck tailgate net on eBay that was made from 1" webbing ($26.00), I believe the seller was boxer_tools. A little Velcro and a trip to the local shoe repair guy (sewing wizard) and I now have a bunk bed safety/cargo net that is secure,lightweight and packs down small.












I'll let you know if it's toddler proof soon!

I hope you are joking about it being "toddler" proof! Nothing is toddler proof and it's my guess that a child's head could easily get stuck in the netting. If you need to corral a toddler I suggest you purchase an approved and safe product for this purpose and that you never let your eyes wander from that "precious cargo". Safe and happy camping to you and your family!

Absolutely joking about being toddler proof! ;4). Pelican cases aren't even warrantied against 3 year olds.
The webbing is 1" so by looking at the first photo you can see that none of the netting "holes" are bigger than 4". My only concern would be the bottom of the net if he tried to slide out, however the fit is tight and I don't believe it would be possible. I will add some bottom straps if needs be.

I do appreciate your concern and thank you for pointing out potential hazards to others that might be looking to use a similar approach. Mom and I will never be more than 5' away.

4" on center for ballustrade/railing spacing meets architectural code...you should be okay, but yes check the bottom...maybe sew a large piece of fabric to the bottom that can slip under the mattress, preventing slipping thru?
