Camco Fridge Airator review

I just got back from a weeklong camping trip and used a new gadget Camco Fridge Airator (about $15 from Amazon). My 3-way fridge cools very well on 120v. and propane, BUT unevenly, in that items like lettuce on the bottom shelf will freeze, and top shelf items will be warmer. I put the battery powered fan on the bottom, and presto my fridge temps are even all over. No more freezing on the bottom shelf, even temperatures all over. I didn't use any thermometer for this test though, just from the feel of my hand.

Only issue with the battery fans is that the colder the battery gets, the less voltage it has.

The Camco fan uses 2D batteries which supposedly last a month in constant use, in fact there is no on/off switch. Ideally I would like to use a fan that connected to the trailer's electrical but my fridge has no interior light, I'd have to drill a hole somewhere in the back to run a wire.

I already bookmarked this into my iPhone. 14.87 or something at Wally. Going to order it when I get home as I notice the very same uneven cooling, even when the scamper is pretty darn level. Thank you for the review!

I ordered this and it's on it's way, site to store. Hoping it might help with some of the fridge stink after a trip. Don't know why...proteins maybe. I leave door propped open, thoroughly dry and clean with Lysol antibacterial kitchen spray.

I see you can get the replaceable filters at Walmart too

Don't know if it would do anything for odors, I haven't been using the enclosed charcoal pack. Try wiping down your fridge with a diluted bleach solution. Likewise I always leave the door and freezer door wide open between trips otherwise mold can develop.

Wendy, I have a small box of "Arm and Hammer" in the refer all the time and leave the door open when not in use. Haven't had any odor problems in 30 years.
