can we have an undercounter garbage receptacle

Don't you find the kitchen garbage bin is always underfoot in our small trailers? We are in a Boler17. I was wondering if anyone has cut into the strong shelf just inside the door, under the sink cabinet. The shelf is reinforced with an extra piece of wood, so I guess it is important structurally too. Any other places that people have mounted it, so it is not being pushed around all the time? Thanks!

Not a Boler, but I found the door on my Escape was perfect for the trash. It's not an area where the trash can would obstruct movement, and when the door is open, the trash can is available outside.
The trash can is a compost bucket from Canadian Tire, but you'll likely find it almost anywhere. I notched it and used 3M Command hooks to attach it to the door. Easily removed.

I had had it hooked over a door ( second pic ), but it got in the way.

Don't you just love those 3M Command hooks? Thanks for the idea. It's a lot less destructive than cutting into the cupboard too.
