Resident 'floor Gator' - she can make it to the fence pretty quick! Can you?

SOLAR POWER!

I know this thread got a little off topic (because of Koigaritas) when it was supposed to be about watching telly with no hook-ups. Solar power is great - and it worked pretty good, too! Too bad the New York feed on satellite was out because of the blackout. :E :E

battery switch

Tom:

Great installation! :)

I found a 30a double throw switch with a center off at an auto accessory shop, in with the road lights. Radio Shack didn't have anything like it (or I didn't find it).

30A Double Throw

Thanks Don - I've seen the marine-grade ones and they're so big and clunky, I'd feel like saying Ahoy, Matie every time I'd switch batteries! :o :wave :o

So I'll pursue the automotive ones now.

I don't see another trip for a few weeks, so I've got the luxury of time for this.

The marine ones are prolly clunky and $$ because they are meant to be used in explosive atmospheres, like hydrogen (from overcharging) and gasoline, below decks.

solar

Good job Tom.
sail boats have a switch like you mentioned left battery, right battery or off. but if it says sail boat it'll cost more.
