This project had been in the works since March but never started. Our resident little girl said enough..... so we got busy and did it for her birthday.

It is a "cat flap" we ordered from Jeffer's Pet Supply. We traced the template they sent, cut the hole, screwed it to the inside, and first part done. We got a latch to hold the outside access door open and made her a step.

Has Her Highness had a chance to use her birthday present yet?

Thank you Chester. You're saying that is an acomplishment in it's self.

On her BD, "Her Highness", did the smell, check it out thing, went in (really out), came back in the egg, did it again and gave her "ya'll did good look. A couple of more weeks before we have another trip planned.

****Note*** the 25 gal water tank takes up half the outside entry. Any guesses on how many head-on collisions we have before she gets it down pat?

I love the idea BUT he (Jerry) who loves to climb trees... is kept in a harness and leash ... No freedom for him coming and going by himself. He's a happy camper tho - loves his stroller and we have him outside on a leash most of the day.

This photo was taken last week at Refugio Beach Campground. He loved that tree...

btw Carol, Jerry provided many HOURS of amusement for my Beagles last weekend. They sniffed and sniffed and searched every corner of the trailer.... and left ME alone...

It worked! (I borrowed Jerry and put him in my trailer to leave a scent trail so my dogs would go wacka when they next came in. I am an evil Mom!)

(I think he got up on the bed tho.. they spent a LOT of time in their corner scratching and snorting.. "WHO has been in MY bed?!!!!!")

Susan, how is the cat contained when she is outside?

Harumph! I have the Sitter wrapped around my paw.
I don't like cars, anyway. Go. Go play in your big Crate.
<sniff> Where's the Tuna?

Gina she is not always contained. She follows me like a little dog and comes to "here Shelia" always and in a timely fashion. Because of her Service Animal duties, I can not keep her in a crate as she has to have access to me to alert me of an attack. Shelia keeps a close eye on her Mom. It is her job.
