what are the smallest wheels / tires I can substitute on a 13ft scamp to lower it for clearing the garage door about 4" or more ?

The brakes on a13Scamp are 7" ...
an 8" wheel will bolt right on. They make them in both bolt patterns.

Drop it on a set of car rollers with no wheels and it probably will still be too tall.
Mine would not go under a 7 foot door even with the rollers.
No AC, only the escape vent on top.
Your mileage may vary.
You could try those 8" wheels with no tires as well.

Good luck!

Yep...the post-fire Scamps were manufactured taller so I believe that eliminated 7'-door entry especially with ANYTHING on top. (Floyd can tell you how much...I'm thinking 6" or to a 6' interior height). The #6 just stands out in my mind

I had a "carport" put up and while it DOES keep the sun off of it, it's still amazing how "dirty" my Scamp gets! A garage is DEFINITELY the best storage hands-down!

I have a 7-foot door and the only way I can get my 16' in the garage is to take off the wheels and roll it in on the brake drums. I lay down a long strip of carpet for them to roll on. It sucks but it's better than it being outside.

post fire height increase was officially 3"
More news 2019 Scamp13s now use a Zero axle with 10" brakes...Results are a couple inches more overall height Not sure of exact number.

Does that mean they’re now using a 3500# axle (presumably de-tuned to something closer to the actual GVWR)?

Those who roll their trailers into garages on the drums: do you get the weight off the drums while stored? Does it make any difference if you do/don't?

Auto parts people say drums on shelves must be stored laying flat or they will warp from their own weight.
