Cheap awning in action!

My $10.00 awning idea held up all weekend, but we learned the hard way that jack stands are a necessity! The trailer "popped a wheelie" knocking over the filled coffee maker, which knocked over the religious candle which was lit, and spilling hot wax, water, and coffee grounds all over the DVD player! We couldn't stop laughing long enough to feel bad, and nothing was damaged besides our pride.

Glad all things turned out good for you!

Yes,jack stands are a must,if you are going to be unhooked from the TV...some of us have learned that lesson the hard way

Another one you might keep in mind to BE Sure to Do ...before you unhook. Be SURE you chock the wheels!! We want talk about how I know that one!! but lets just say it is a Very good thing there was one of those big curb things that is used for parking places at the end of that sight pad. we were in Arkansas at Degray State park.

I guess most of us have at least one "I should have_____" done that on our list. Again sure glad you had a good trip.

Happy Camping

How do you keep water from pooling in the awning?

EGGsactly, we will keep all of our trips here in the local mountains, deserts, or beach areas in southern California where rainy days are rare. It's more for shade, and looking homey.

I lived in San Diego...they all lie! :-P LOL!

It rains there...the spring torrential downpours can be brutal..but yeah, it's a warm rain..maybe it will be a hot tub!
