Cheap Foam and a New Clock

So I had the pleasure of meeting a fellow local forum member and few weeks back and did a bit of painting for him, in return I was given a Canadian Tire gift card (Thank You!)....The timing was perfect as Cnd. Tire was/is having a sale on foam sleeping/camping mats....48"x72"x4" $53!

I had to cut the width about 4" to make if fit my Trillium's "double" bed in the rear, then I made a cover for the foam out of an old queen flat sheet I had hanging around and voila! A super comfy bed for our upcoming camping trip!

I also made a really cool clock for our trailer out of a beautiful bicycle sproket that my husband had taken off his dirt jump bike....I really liked the machining and the spider web on it....I thought the second hand being a bee was perfect....Trying hard to not get caught in the spider's web!

Fun easy projects....Love 'em!

Cheers! Emily

Two great additions! I love the sprocket clock, it does have a very nice pattern. I'm very fond of machined aluminum things.

Thanks Ladies!
I too love machined items and I really like clocks....This is the 5th clock that my husband and I have made out of round machined items...The other four clocks were made out of brake disks off my husband's motorcyles. Here's the one that hangs beside my computer, the other three were given as gifts to family members...Fun to keep them in the family!
