I posted a picture of the big Plastic Box that is installed on the 1989
Scamp that is
for sale. It can be seen earlier in this thread. It's nice to have extra storage, particularly for items rarely used.
Today I added a smaller version of the 'bottom storage box. I bought an 12 x 10 x 3 inch plastic box with cover and screwed the cover to the bottom of the floor. The bottom of the box tightly clamps onto the cover.
I will add a bungee cord for extra security.
For example, I plan to use this box for my grease gun and a set of spare bearings. There appears to be room for 4-6 boxes like this. I think I would use them mostly for rarely used but always carried small tools and the like.
These boxes are not visible from the side of the trailer.
I have mounted this one box as a test. Assuming it works as planned I will add 3 more small boxes and one or two large boxes in the empty space between the grey tank and the rear bumper. I have just begun to think what I might store in these spaces.
I would have started with the large box but could not decide what to store there.
