Compact jr popup sag

Okay, folks.....what is the best way to get rid of the sag in my "new 1972) Compact Jr pop-up section. I have seen several different ways on this site....but is there a consensus (or vote) as to the best way??
All opinions will be greatly appreciated.

What Sag, suspension, fixed roof, pop-up roof, or is it a more personal issue?
Gravity will do that to all of us you know.....

BTW: If it's side to side pop-up sag, most of us just live with it because it's difficult to get any support beams to fit around the opening in the fixed top when the pop-up is down. But I understand that a F-86 Saber Jet canopy fits just fine if you want a full time moon roof....LOL

Sorry if I wasn't clear with my question. My 1972 Compact Jr has a sag in the pop-up section of the roof. The sag is from front to back. What is a good way to fix the sag so water doesn't run back to the air vent in the pop-up and leak inside. I know I can caulk around the vent, but I want to fix the sag so it looks better.

I have to perform this repair on http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...-jr-49049.html. It originally had a sheet of plywood epoxied to the inside as a stiffener. Right now my trailer is in pieces in the middle of a total restoration... (don't rush me, LOL).

My plan is to take the (now removed) roof section and lay it upside-down on the floor, on top of two 2" x 2" x 8' studs along the longitudinal edges. I will screw 5 curved cross-ribs spaced evenly along the length of a new plywood ceiling to create a curved inner support, and epoxy it to the inside of the roof fiberglass and place weights on the center of the ribs to help gravity create the crown as the epoxy cures.

BTW, folks, where was the spare tire originally mounted on my 1972 Compact Jr. The tongue on my new purchase is stripped bare of propane tank mounts and anything else that was there. Can't figure out the spare tire mount and hesitate to believe that the spare was originally just placed inside the cabin...a little help here please... TNX, Tom

I don't think there was any attachment for the spare on the Compact Jr. I've seen photos of attachment to one side of the tongue, straddling the tongue between the propane tank and the body, and flat under the rear of the body. Many seem to have none and carry the spare inside the trailer or tow vehicle.

Adding a spare to the front of the trailer only adds to tongue weight, not always a good thing when you look at the tongue where it attached to the frame. I reinforced the frame forward and aft of that junction with 1.5" x 1/4" x 24" steel welded to the bottom of the frame. My spare still lives elsewhere.
