Converting non Bunk to a Bunk arrangement

My 1975 Trillium did not originally come with a top bunk but I want to add one.

So I have :

fabricated the top bunk ( board, cushion and cover)

Purchased 2 correct poles

modified the lower couch to receive the poles

Bought the hinge

Now come my questions:

What else ?

Do I simoly add a pc of wood to the lower windowsill , 2 pcs of wood to support the safety bar and.... done ?

Am I missing something ?

There should have been two dimples in the top of the lower bunk to receive the support poles. What modifications did you make?

The stock arraignment has a strip of plywood screwed into the bottom of the front window frame, the the piano hinge for the bunk is screwed into that strip. I think that the point of the plywood strip is that it allows the use of longer screws to hold the bunk.

When the bunk is up, two poles are inserted between the previously mentioned dimples in the upper surface of the lower bunk, and shower curtain rod brackets installed on the bottom of the upper bunk.
