Covering the backside of a 12v socket

I was looking at the backside of my 12 volt socket(that faces into the middle upper part of a galley cabinet) I wonder whats the chances of popping a fuse 1 day?

So I came up with this.

Its just a 4oz sized fake "tupperware" that I got at walmart. I cut a hole in the lid, removed the screws and took it apart...put it back together and ran the screws through the lid so I can put the clear base on.

Also installed a cheap 12 volt meter out of the way. (oh and it read 12.8v)

Great idea ! I have one of these outlets in a storage locker. Your solution is ingenious.

Great idea Deryk. Besides the insulating benefit, it looks like it would do a good job of keeping galley items from banging into it while bouncing down the road.

Thanks...yeah figures I blew a fuse while reinstalling it lol but now I'm not gonna worry about a pot or something blowing it out and its easy to pop off if I need to fix it.
