Question Cross section of Bigfoot Floor?

Being new to this community, I am thrilled at the amount of information exchanged and the willingness of folks to provide assistance. So.....to that end, I pose the following:

I am going to install a pedistal base for a new dinette table on a Bigfoot 25B175G and wonder if anyone knows the composition of the flooring of the trailer. I am guessing the existing linoleum floor covering is set on either 3/4 or 1 inch plywood; the bottom of the trailer is then enclosed with 1/8 inch fiberglass. The pedistal came with some very imposing screws and I am reluctant to just blast them in without knowing more detail. If anyone can provide the details of the crosssection of the floor, I would be most grateful.

Gary,
I had Little House Customs add a gray water tank under my 15B17G and they drilled a 1 1/2" hole through the closet floor for the plumbing. I still have that core. The total thickness is 1 5/8" or 4.1 cm. The sandwich layers are fiberglass on bottom (4mm), stryofoam (2 cm), plywood (13mm) and floor linoleum (2mm) on top. This is in an old 1500 series and your newer 2500 series may have different thickness but the layers are very likely the same. I hope this helps.

Thanks Tom! Excellent information about the cross section of the Gaucho floor. That is exactly what I need to select the proper fastening screw for the pedestal base. Had I used the screws provided with the base, I would have pierced the exterior FG shell. Again..... many thanks!!!

I did this to avoid the issue. Not quite as stable but makes sitting down easier as you can slide the table around. It also frees up the floor space for the dog. Raz

Very nice! That configuration will allow you to take the table outside if needed. Like you we make most decisions relative to what is best for the pups.
