As to Carol's comment about using Scotch Gard...it is rare that I wash my curtains. In fact, I never have in the 3 years I've owned the trailer. Personally, I do not Scotch Gard my curtains either as the moisture in the trailer can be easily dried.

I like to start out each camping year with a nice clean fresh trailer so the curtains go into the wash. One of the other plus points of lining them is that the fabric doesnt break down from the sun so you can wash them without worrying about them falling apart.

My daughter and I made curtains out of a long valence given to me from a friend. They are self- lined in the same fabric. Because each panel cut was finished from top to bottom, we folded and sewed a small pocket on top to form the header of the curtain and slide the existing rods thru. We finished with tabs which I tacked to the curtains.
