And thank you Donna for the explanation.
And thank you Bill for the question and concern.
When we put together the web site, I had planned to have some simple windows designed and ready made to sell. An example of a simple window would be a diamond shaped bevel centered in the window using H-came, an inexpensive but beautiful textured clear glass with a more expensive colored cathedral glass to complement the design. I will post a sample on the web site today. And yes, the red cathedral glass is expensive. I took a deep breath before purchasing it, but decided it was worth it because I could make about five windows with it if I used it sparingly as a complement piece.
window of the ocean is another, more or less simple design. I really have not had time to put up more simple designs of the web site because I have been working part time as a bookkeeper while keeping up with the design and construction of more complex windows. I now have two months off until tax season. Bill and I can concentrate on making windows. Yea!
Another factor in price, is the design of the window. Some of the designs I have put together are quite complicated. This is evident when viewing the windows. I often try to balance the windows using a more complicated design in one section and then finishing it out using textured glass. My frog window is an example.
The web site is a work in process. Any suggestions, concerns or compliments are welcome. I enjoy working with the fiberglass groups as much as we enjoy camping in our "Little House". We have learned so much from the sites!
