Dolphin project

Hi,
So further to my post a couple of weeks ago, the Dolphin came home and went straight to the RV place. It was a deal, but it needs work:
Frame, axle and wheels are all ok. Shell is in good shape too.
Needs all new propane pipes - old ones are squished and corroded
Needs a new power converter - the old one is making scary noise.
Needs the furnace tested and installed
Needs a fridge (I found an RM211 that will fit) to be installed
Needs new brakes and the 7 pin connector had been removed so that has to be replaced.
Water system needs cleaning and reconnecting, it was all disconnected.

Then once that is done, I will get it home and replace the floor inside, fix a crack near the door and seal windows, clean and red max the outside. Then I will decide on decor inside and do some sprucing up and putter around with the other little things that need fixing.

Picture will follow when I get the new baby home.
Thanks so much for all the wonderful advice on this forum.
Sandy

Sandy, remember... it doesn't need to be perfect, just perfect for you.

Best of luck

I agree. As long as it's safe, that's all we really need. The rest will come in time.

I just picked up a dolphin too. Great little trailer. If you need any specs from mine or pictures feel free to ask.

Wow, that's great. I could not find any other Dolphin owners. Mine is an 1981 15 foot. What is yours and do you have any manuals?

Same here. Mines an 81 as well. I don't have any manuals other than the sheet on the closet door that tells some info.

Most manufacturers manuals are pretty lame. They depend on the manufacturers of component pieces to provide the documentation. Remember, other than the body and the frame (and maybe inside cabinetry) all other items are manufactured by other companies... everything from axles to windows! You're in luck, the Document Center may have things you need! Fiberglass RV - Document Center

Thanks Donna. Last I checked the document center there was nothing on the Dolphin itself. I never thought the windows and such would be other manuf. I do have the sheet inside the cupboard. Well, right now I have a picture of it while the trailer is at the rv place. So far I have found online the manual and parts lists for the exisiting furnace and the used fridge that I bought.
