E-Z Shower Drain Valve Extention
Here's an E-Z Mod....
1. Remove Shower Drain Valve T Handle
2. Install coupler nut 1/4" x 20 Threads / inch
3. Temporarly install 1/4" x 3' all thread rod
4. Note where the all thread crosses the tongue and drill hole in frame.
5. Hog out hole.
6. Install all thread through hole and install T handle ':)'

Wow, Glen!
You really don't want to have to go fumbling (or stooping) around looking for the handle to your Casita's shower drain valve!
Thanks for all the pics. I was really confused by the instruction to drill a hole in the trailer tongue... I think it took all the pics for me to understand just how accessible your shower drain valve handle extension is!!

Just gotta ask
Okay, I know I'm not the only one out here, so I'm gonna ask: What is the shower drain valve for (other than the obvious) and how is it installed (other than the mod)?
Since I have an older Casita that doesn't have one, I would be interested to know just what this is for.
I assume, it is to keep the gray water from coming up into the shower...is this correct? Keep it closed when not in use, then open it when one wants to take a shower?

What it does...
It keeps the gray water from splashing up into the shower while you're going down the road. Keep it closed while towing, open when camped (assuming the shower will be used).
If your trailer doesn't have a built-in gray water tank, you don't need this valve.

shower valve
To add to Marys comment:
When the gray water splashes up into the shower floor, while travelling, you are left with an undesireable 'gook and grime' to walk on.
I like Glens handle!
