Escape 19 modifications
I finished off several open projects today and here are some photos. I installed 'night lights' inside several factory light fixtures, all on a switch that can be illuminated at night. Also a outside step light. Installed a water heater "on" light.

Converted my "weather locater" to 12v, found an old cell phone charger that coverts 12v to 6v output, seems to work now in lieu of a/c plug in which was nothing but a converter. This item, made by Bushnell, picks up local Accuweather channels so when you travel you can always have local weather displayed. It has something like 150 cities for all 48 states.

Jim, Nice work. I will have to drop off my casita for you to do some work on.... I have some projects in mind but not the time right now. I will be asking you questions though for lots of the electrical stuff.

Nice work! Love the idea of closet lights. At the Fiberglass Roundup I saw my first Escape! Fell in Love with the room that 2 extra feet provide. Fell totally in love with the quality of the Escape and all those lil extras. At some point I will place an order for one! I have Escape envy! Beautiful trailer!

Added a teak floor to the bath today, I feel the wooden slats allow dirt to easy fall thru and keeps the bath cleaner and more hygienic.

I'll need to put the teak in my Scamp shower to firm things up. Every time I walk into there I feel like I'm breaking something.
Also, I love that tongue and groove cedar. I built drawers for my Trillium and used that for the bottoms. Best mod I ever did and smelled sooooo nice.

I am sure!
You know I have read comments, praises, etc here for years but truly until you walk in one you don't get it! Beautiful trailer, and the room they get out of 2 extra feet is crazy cool. And the Escape owners attending the Roundup say that it's just as easy to pull as the Casita!

+3 on the teak shower grate. All land yachts should have one. I made mine from teak offcuts and S.S. screws I'd had for 35 yrs. Can I be that old? Well, old enuf to slip on a slick shower pan. Better than a mat. Good air circulation discourages mold; doesn't rot; don't find yourself standing in 2" of water if you get caught using the floor drain as a grey tank monitor.

Jim, looks great. On your teak floor, how did you secure the bottom and top pieces together? I don't see any screws on the top, glue?
Thanks

I purchased 2 pre made floor pieces and then modified them. Here is the link
Amazon.com: Creative Bath Eco Styles Bath Mat, Bamboo: Home & Kitchen
appears they are Bamboo, not teak- my bad....

Good for the exterior shower as well..
One of those platforms would be great for the exterior shower as well....kinda pricy though!
