Are you wanting to replace the emergency escape hatch with a Fantastic Fan? No can do without doing major fiberglass repair. Most common in Scamps for people to leave the emergency hatch in place and put the Fantastic Fan behind it over the back table area as its easy to get power to it - often there is a light over the table which you remove and cut your fan hole there and use the power that was for the light. I have seen some put the fan ahead of the emergency escape but its a little harder to get power to it.

I think the fantastic vent opening is 14x14 so you will need some major "framing in" to perform.

14x14 seems is the standard fan size. I have the 17x25 "hatch" over the bed/dining area and a 14x14 vent in the kitchen/entrance area.

I'm planning on putting in a Fantastic fan where my old fan is, it sticks down too much and the switches constantly stab my head.

Oh, I should have said that I can help you find the 17x25 hatch. Mine's cracked and I was looking for replacements. Maybe, just maybe you could rig an adapter to put the 14x14 fan into.

Or I rather like having both! I don't think it's that hard to cut the hole in the roof or have it cut by an installer. The hatch probably isn't wired for 12v like a 14x14 vent might be.

If you go to Scamps on line parts store they have the replacements covers for the 17 X 25 hatch.

Careful, I think there may be two hing types, Jensen and Elixir. I'd give Scamp the year of your trailer and describe what the hing looks like. I talked to them, they said they had the Elxir type hatch cover for $50. That Jensen style seems to be $45.

Oh, found a link to the Elixir style. Says 18x25, but the measurements are not crystal clear.

18 inch x 25 inch (Vent Measurement) Roof Vent Lid Only

Not sure if they told me I needed Elixir style because of my year (2001) or because of the measurements I gave them. Or maybe the description of the hinge.

Three things would have told them whether you had a Jensen or an Elixir. Jensen's are on older Scamps and they have a long piano hinge riveted to the cover and the cover measures 17 x 25 edge to edge. Not sure what year they switched to using the Elixir but it was after 92 for sure and it has a different hing and is a different size its 18x25.
