Fantastic Vent upgrade

I received today my Fantastic Vent upgrade kit. My current fan has 3 speeds, thermostat, rain sensor, and motorized opening. I wanted to slow the speed down and opted for the remote upgrade. It has 14 speeds.
The old unit comes out easily, 2 power wires and it's unplugged. I turned off the power at the batteries. I reinstalled the new one, took all about 15 minutes and now I have a nice and quiet fan. The remote is also the thermostat so you mount it near the bed.
Here is the old one

Here is the new one, the upgrade was $150 but I sold the old one for $75 so it's was worth it. Everything was done from inside, did not have to go topside for anything.

This looks like taking a great fan and making it greater. Nice having all those speeds and the remote is nice too. I wonder how much the complete fan is ?

I paid $150 for the upgrade and they said $250 cost for whole new set up. I did not want to disturb my top side seal.

I REALLY like this fan AND the upgrade too, but that remote, ??? ...Another 'guy toy' for me to lose. I'd be 'velcro~ing' that puppy to a nearby wall real quick to keep us from loosing it, LOL.

I have a 6k ac unit that I bought at the end of year about 3 years ago(its still new in the box but I may use it in my new 13). It has a remote also, and I can see where the remote would be very handy when your in bed. You can shut it off or change speeds, and if I loose it I can just reach up.
