I'll BET "altered"!
Didn't the '89 Civic have a 70 hp engine, or was that only the base model?
I'd love to hear about the upfit on this puppy, too...

Actually, the RT4wd wagon shared an engine with the EX and Si Civic models. It boasted a whopping (advertised) 108 hp. The base model had a supposed 92. On the dyno, your figure is pretty accurate!

Well, this is a red letter day for me...finally "met" someone on the forum that's towing with less horsepower than I am. If you ever need a tow, just call me and I'll be there with the Kia, all 130HP at your service!

Oh, I didn't mean to imply that the old D16a6 was still in there!
It is still a 1.7 liter, supercharged, methanol/water injected.

Oh, yeah? Well, my Kia's liquid diet consists of straight aviation fuel chased by a jigger-per-gallon of 180 proof Everclear.
Top that!

Ya got me there!
Actually, it would be fun to run the beast on some avgas. It's tuned on 93 octane, the liquid injection is to keep intake temps down.

4" body lift- which is tricky with a unibody car. Took ten months of spare time and a donor car. Add to that another 4" of suspension lift via homebuilt strut spacers and 235/75R15 tires, it's right at a foot taller than stock.

Charging up the battery for some fall paddling fun.

GA: Trillium 1300 DE-alteration
We're going to head down to Cedar Key for Thanksgiving weekend and SWMBO's birthday.
Haven't changed much on the camper as yet, but did solve one little problem. The step up into the door is a bit high, 14 inches or so. Uncomfortable for us, and near impossible for my parents. None of the solutions I'd found suited me, and/or were way expensive.
Picked up this work platform at Northern for $40 and altered it. Was 19" tall, now 7". Light, sturdy, and fits right inside the door when traveling.

Hmm, I don't know why that last picture broke. Try again:
And again, not a Trillium mod, but put a transmission cooler on the TV last night.
Had the kit hanging on the wall for a couple years, leftover from a job. My buddy recently lost his tranny while towing a trailer full of ATVs hunting, got me thinking.

Haha! I got that same aluminum step from Norther Tool. Works great and way cheaper than over $100 at Camping World.

Yep, a few minutes with a cutoff wheel , a drill, and a handful of rivets goes a long way.
Now if I can just come up with a better bicycle hauling solution...

And finally removed the Scalperator window unit.
Hideous. Now I desperately need a replacement window. Any ideas? For now I intend to apply a Presidential Solution with some Lexan.

I've ordered a refurb window, so let's commence the destruction.
I love a deadline! 25 days 'til we kick out the chocks and head for Big Pine Key...

While we wait on the window, making some cabinet space from the (furnace?) space.
