Hi Shelley,
I don't know about getting it painted here in Calgary - given how busy bodyshops are and the cost of getting a car painted, I don't know.
However, I am in Calgary too and have a 1985
Bigfoot. It is oxidized and quite dirty, so I am trying the "not poliglow" trick on it (as seen in this thread:
http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...ell-43004.html ) using the Zep floor finish from Home Depot. I have been scrubbing the surface with scotchbrite and Pray Nine, then applying the floor polish. It really livens up the trailer! However, I don't know how long it will last, but as others have reported in that thread, they seem to have good luck with it.
I figure compared to the cost of
paint, if I can re-apply this stuff every 2-3 year years, it's worth the effort.
Cheers,
Keith
