Gluing new "rat fur"

I'm getting very close to being ready to install new headliner material in my Cloud. Got the material from local source and will probably use 3M spray for headliners (#76 I think it is) A PO painted the areas that need the new lining with generic enamel applied with a brush. Will spray stick to this or do I need to remove all the paint? It would be a huge job.

Thanks
Joel

I have used it to reattach Scamps ratfur. If the enamel paint is firmly attached ie no flaking off it should work. Why not test it out in a small area behind a cabinet or something to be sure.
