Happiness Is A Dry Camper

I find that one of the draw backs of our smaller units is foul weather during a meet or gathering as there isn’t a lot of room to congregate in any one trailer. At a recent event at a gathering in Canada we had such a day high winds and rain soon everyone had retreated to their own trailer. I have a small portable gas camp fire unit which I fired up but with the high winds only two people could keep quite dry under our 13 foot awning so I rigged up a bed sheet on the windward end and it worked quite well .We had 6 to 8 dry folks at most times. I have now made a wall from canvas that covers either end and is easy to put up and store. Although I am not close to a seamstress it turned out well and of coarse if I made another it would fit much better but this will do. We also found that the gas campfire does a good job and lasts about 10 hours

Grrrrreat idea Lyndon! Any pictures you care to share? I'm not a seamstress either. The last time I used the sewing machine, I ran over my thumb with the pressure foot. Interesting "stitching" your own thumb....

On eedit: echo, echo... I see you posted twice and the other one has the pictures....

BTW: Escape Trailer Industries gave away several of those gas fireplaces at the Oregon Gathering. Those that won one seemed pleased... I didn't win one
