height of bigfoot

Good afternoon , i recently purchased a 1989 bigfoot 5th wheel trailer in immaculate condition . I would like to however raise the height of the trailer to give more ground clearance . Has anyone performed that task and if so how would i proceed ? Thanks

I own a 15B17G 1986.

I did reverse the blades on the axle, then replaced the old blades and installed new brackets for the blades.

Now 2 steps instead of one to get into the trailer.
It still controls very well on the road and accepts very well the entrances of garage with marked angle.

Have a good day,

Why raise it? Off road?

thanks

I contacted the rep from Bigfoot industries in Canada and he suggested that flipping the axle 180 degrees would work for me , i wanted to raise the trailer for for ground clearance but also more clearance between the box of the truck and the underneath of the fifth wheel portion of the trailer .

Hi Russ,
For my 15B17G I did it back because the bumper hooked in the accented entries ...
The axle of my trailer 1986 does not reverse, so to off-road does not give extra space between the axle and the ground.
The space I recovered, is for the trailer only ...
Have a good day,

I too, am thinking of lifting my 21' Bigfoot. What I have been looking at is:
https://www.lci1.com/support-correct-track%E2%84%A2
It gives 2" of lift, is looks pretty easy to install and provides the capability of aligning your axles if they aren't already. I have no personal experience with them yet but I am seriously looking at the system.
