Barbara, how did you support the shelf at the foot of the bed? Is it removeable? I want to put one in my trailer for the TV and assorted junk.

Hi Lizbeth,

The shelf is made of a prefinished woodgrain shelf cut to fit the curve of the wall on one end and square to fit the closet on the other. My husband bent 2 flat metal bars [which I painted white] about 2 inches on the end under the shelf screwed to the shelf and about an inch on the other end to rest on the bench tight between the wall and cushion. For the other side I screwed a thin piece of wood about 1"x1"x 6" through the closet wall into a same size piece inside the closet for the shelf to sit on. It just lifts off but does leave the small piece of wood on the side of the closet.

Karen, I used black cable ties, and you don't even notice them.
