Probably

Rick's talking $39,000 Canadian .... US$26,000 ... I'll bet.

Still a lot of money ... but it's a lot of trailer!

OK Charles,
That's much better....
What's that I hear..... NO from the kitchen....
It's a beauty tho. But my Astro is rated at 5000 lbs.
I would have to get a Suburban like those rich guys have.

Pete

Smaller ones?

Hi Rick,
They do make a smaller one, don't they? What do those go for?

And Charles (or Rick):
What is the going exchange rate? No, I'm not considering a change, but they sure are nice. I parked next to a new one in Flagstaff this spring. The owner had just purchased it in L.A. and ''got a great deal at $25k.'' :ola

Exchange rate

$1.586 Canadian for $1 US

$.63 US for every $1 Canadian

Bigfoot

Charles is correct: exchange rate floats from 1.58 to 1.62 So it's about 26K US. (unless you want more options!) Bigfoot now makes a 17 foot, a 22 foot (mine) and now the 27 footer. It actually sleeps at least 6. That ad is not exactly correct.

The 17 footer can be bought for about 26k (or 16,500 US) if you get a deal. The 21 footer is about 36k or 22,500.00 US.

I paid 9700.00 US for my 1995 in mint shape.:inbox

Thanks for uploading the photo Mike. *hot off the press!*

This'll keep ya busy. Not sure about the B25 RQ vs B26 RQ. Obviously someone is mistaken as to the length. Oh well - more soon! :)

Hey Rick:

Have you taken your Bigfoot to a scale for a 'weigh-in'?

No way - I'm scared to. Actually I have every reason to believe that it is around the 3410 mark - as it says. But maybe I will take it in someday.

Hey Guys, I see a lot of weight numbers being tossed around here, but I don't see the rest of the info, like is that in pounds, kilos or coconuts (ripe, with liquid).

good point Pete

Good point Pete ... we've rapidly become a multinational website ... so everyone has to take that into account and make sure they specify units of measure accordingly.

Means I'll have to learn how to convert 32 degrees F to 0 degrees C, not to mention brushing up on my metric system.

Let's see, a kilogram is 2.2 pounds ... so Rick's trailer should weigh ... dang it, were did I put my calculator?

Metric

I had already converted the weight for my American friends:

Overall Height* ft./in. mtr 8'-10" 2.692

Interior Headroom ft./in. mtr 6'-4" 1.93

***Base Dry Weight lbs kg 3819 1733 *** 2002 Model
(mine shows 3410, but like I said I will have it weighed!)

Hitch Weight lbs kg 525 238
(mine shows 375 lbs)

Axle Weight Rating lbs kg 2 x 3500 2 x 1588
GVWR lbs kg 7500 3400
Tires Size ST205/75R14C
Fresh Water US gal. Litres 33 126
Grey Water US gal. Litres 22 83

Water Heater US gal. Litres 6 23

All other specs other than those indicated are the same as my 1995. Big trailer = big tanks! :)
