Made this hitch helper in about 20 minutes, using unbreakable plastic mirror, about 13' long and 1/8' wood for the sides, and of course duct tape to hold it all together. It also folds flat for easy storage. It works perfect.

What a great idea! It's simple, effective, and easily stores out of the way when not in use. You just gave me an idea for something similar to attach to the storage box above my propane tanks.

Thank you very much!

Kevin, Excellent Duct Tape placement! I can always appreciate a good use for Duct Tape.

Sorry that I am such a doofus, but I don't get it at all. The mirror seems to be facing into the tow vehicle --- but that can't be right. How do you see the ball and the receiver?

What do you see in the rear view mirror that helps you hitch up alone? (I really do need the answer to this because I do a LOT of solitary hitching up).

You look through the review mirror of your tow rig and the angle of the mirror lets you see the trailer hitch ball.

Oh I get it now!

The mirror is hanging off the P/U cap so you can look through the lift up window and not off a tonneau sitting on the tailgate.
