When in travel mode, our rock-guard showed through the front window as a big blank nothing. So, we commissioned Diane's sister-in-law to paint it with a composite reminder-picture of our favourite campsite/campground. Here is Susan, the artist, and Di's brother David, with our original art-work over the gaucho.

Nice job. It really looks great.

I've been thinking about painting the inside of my rock guard with a mountain sceen including the mountain.

VERY Cool!!!! As an amateur artist, the one thing that I've found a bit dismaying about egg life is the lack of vertical space to hang art (cabinet doors. . . . ) - this has inspired me!!!!

Speaking of cabinet doors, I'm in process of replacing mine with solid wood. The three I've replaced so far have a mountain sceen woodburned and colored. Next is one of the end cabinets with a flower at each end. Haven't decieded if there'll be anymore flowers on that one or not.
The wife was the Oregon Cascade skyline painted on the other end cabinet door. The closet door is planned to be turned into a shallow kind of a showdow box with several 1/2 round carvings.

When I get tired of the three already done cabinet doors I'm thinking of making them frames that will hold a canvas. I'd have to make my own stretchers, but quite doable.

Just some thoughts.

I do like that painting.

Des & Diane,

This Georgia Girl loves it! Great idea. I am still trying to get my second WV jack to go with the "one" I finally found. I just loved the jacks you had at the ralley.

What a neat idea---looks really good.

Now, I would imagine that it is a waterproof paint because when the "liquid sunshine" comes down I know we still get a bit of seepage under our window cover.

HMMM I just sponge painted some maple leafs on the outside of the window cover---now to see about something for the inside!!!!
I just have a tiny valence over the window (our dinette is at that end-- and the cover does look rather bleak..)but for night time some sleep inducing picture would be nice...Sheep anyone?????

That picure is beautiful, and it sure looks better than the site of the rock guard. I was wondering how to make that sock guard look nice from the inside. Yours is fantastic!
