Thumbs up

Home Depot has a product I used called Mold Control. Take out everything including cushions.

Wear a mask and heavily spray everything inside and out including any wood items. I sprayed the fridge, stove, oven, keep the oven door open. Do the ceiling last and work your way out.

Spray the carpet well even tho you are removing it.

Make sure all windows and vents are closed when you are finished.

Spray and saturate your cushions, both sides and let them air dry in the sun.

Give it a couple of days and then air out the trailer and repeat the whole process.

The spray container states not to clean off as it leaves a protective film but I have CLD so masked up and rinsed everything off with many changes of hot water.

The carpet got two darn good shampoos.

I unzipped the cushions, laundered them in warm water, twice, and hung them to dry in the sun. I let the foam dry from the spray in the sun.

It was a lot of elbow grease but no mold or mildew remains.

I have no idea what to do regarding the floor but have read lots of excellent posts regarding that in this forum. This late fall the carpet in my Boiler is being ripped out and thrown out. We are probably going to put linoleum down.

Good luck.

I took out all of the old carpet and painted the partical board floor with Zinssar mold and mildew paint and replaced it with Aromatic Cedar. It smells wonderful.

That cedar is fantastic! Thank you for sharing. How thick is it? How does it wear?

That is the most beautiful TTfloor I've seen! Just don't wear high heels and it'll stay fine ;-) For the mildew, white or blue spirits (like used in camp stoves) is very effective on mildew. And it vaporizes so no residues. Lino glues down (I only glued the perimeter under mine) and is much easier to clean than carpet. Have been working on my TT all summer, it's getting there, finally........

I am going to go with the cedar including painting underneath with Zinssar. Not to worry about high heels, I haven't been able to walk in a pair of them since my early 40's!

Interio Cleaning and Flooring

The Cedar idea came when I was helping friend line his closet's with Aromatic Cedar.
You can buy it at Lowes, Home Depot, Lumber store... It's 1/4" thick by 4" wide and is tongue and grooved. I put it down with small finished nails in the tongue. In my abode we leave the shoes at the door. Just like you house.
