Interlux Brightside Before and After

We just got our boler back from getting painted. We used Interlux brightside (offwhite). We are very pleased with the result. Here are some before and after photos. FYI: The paint and pre-kote where sprayed on.

Thank you. The yellow thing is a wheel lock. Bought locally at Princess Auto. Basically a Theft Deterrent.

I bet it makes a lot of noise at 70 MPH.

Nice work! Did you paint the aluminum black on the window frames/drip guards as well? If so, what kind of paint did you use? I've been mulling that option over.

We used an etching primer on all the aluminum and used a regular car paint with a metallic sparkle in all the black. Looks nice.

It does look very nice. How did it work with all the moving parts? Did you have the windows out, or just tape off around them and the glass?

Very nice paint job!

I've been mulling over spraying my Scamp with the same product; Interlux Brightsides. My spraying experience is limited to rattle cans. Did you do the job yourself? If so - can you share any tips (what type of spray system you used, etc).

Thanks

I know he farmed it out to a pro. I've followed a # of people doing the brightside with the roll and tip method. Almost every report I've heard is excellent. The one I value most is from Jim in NS that restores cars. He said it is difficult to tell the difference between the roll and tip and a spray job.

r.e. wheel locks...

Is theft a serious concern when you're away from your trailer while it's parked in a camp ground? That's not the sort of thing I'd have guessed...

If it is a concern, what solutions do people take? Wheel locks are one possibility, obviously. I've seen hitch locks as well. Leaving a large angry dog inside the trailer probably works, too . What else do people do?

Roy is right. My nephew did this job. The windows where newly installed so there was no need to remove although it would have been the right thing to do at that time. We don't use the wheel locks while camping. Only when in our driveway in the city along with a tongue and ball lock. Hope this helps. Back to camping. Cheers everyone.
