Now THAT is totally GREAT! Especially with the "candles".

PeterH... Did you buy those lights recently and if so, do you have a Lowes part number for them, a brand name, or any other information? I couldn't find them on their web site.

Thanks,
Dan

I gather you are not overwrought over wrought iron.

I got my support tubes at Lowes, in the closet-hanger-pipe department. Had my choice of white enamel or brushed aluminum. Used a hole cutter to make the upper and lower bracket bases.

If you're looking for something out of wood and glass... check out the top two pictures in this great Moguland thread: http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...and-35800.html kinda makes a person go hummmm. Open and functional and would help prevent some water and/or grease splashing depending on sink and stove placement.

Dan, I made those a few years back, but I've seen them at garden centers and hardware store garden centers fairly frequently for about $10 each.

Thanks Peter. I'll be keeping an eye open for them as the garden centers open for spring here in Minnesota.

Well we went 180 degrees from the original idea, and added a second, identical, upright. We painted them a vanilla/creamish color (same used on cabinet doors - trying to match the fiberglass). We just preferred the symmetrical look.

We opted to stick with a 50's retro kind of feeling. More to come. Still need to replace curtains, cabinet hinges

RV builders like to cut corners where ever they can. If Scamp thought they weren't needed they would be gone. Its not like they are a great lovely addition to help sell trailers.

The bars are great to hang a Robo Cup holder on though. I hang my large maglight in one side and put my glasses or drink bottle in the other while I'M in bed. Keeps stuff from being knocked into the sink or spilled on the bed.
