I find designing to complement the unique shape of the Boler very inspiring .... I love curves.
I am kinda fond of various kinds of curves myself.

Although I am sure this project will never be finished I am feeling right now that any changes from here on will be quite minor. Here are a couple pictures as I get ready to leave for the Prairie Egg Gathering

Your Boler should be in a museum, it is a work of art!

Great work Ian

Would love to meet sometime in YYC and share Boler passion/ obsession stories!

You have made your trailer your own and am sure there is a lot of pride and satisfaction that goes into that Ian, kudos.

Thanks Luis

Maybe you could make it to the Fall Omelette in Rosebud Alberta in September.
Sorry the aluminum tongue box sold in less than an hour when I mentioned it in a Facebook group.

I cannot tell you how much I love the ShadyBoy Awning, it is amazing. I will post some pictures.

At the Alberta Bolerama (a.k.a. Prairie Egg Gathering) I used the Shady Boy Awning for the first time. It worked great. I mounted the awning so it centered over the side window and NOT the center of the trailer (previous pictures in this thread show the mounting location). This resulted in the door being covered by the front of the awning but a lot more usable awning space towards the rear of the Boler. The weekend weather put the awning through a good test, ranging from hot sun, to rain (downpours), and wind. The awning performed flawlessly.

Wanted to provide an update on the Shady Boy awning ... in simple terms I LOVE IT!!!
I made a short video at this years Alberta Omelette event to show how easy and fast it is to set-up, i can do it in about 3 minutes.

Hi Ian, looks like you are attaching the support beams right on the door edge. What type of replacement door trim/seal are you using since the original door trim/seal needs to be inserted at the door edge. I am trying to add roof support to my Scamp to create more living space as I have taken out the closet. Thanks.

Hello George

Yes I placed supports epoxied directly to the fiberglass shell on each side of the door. I am using the following door seal from Vintage Trailer Supply, I have tried a lot of door seals and this one works great. When you first install it the door is almost impossible to close, force it closed and leave it for a few days, this compresses the seal and after that it works fantastic.

Thanks, Ian. I ordered the new Scamp door seal literally yesterday. I will try it out first. If that doesn't do a good job, I will try the one from Vintage trailer.

Any special trick to installing the spigot?

Ian, we've just pulled the moldy old fresh water tank from our Skank and need to replace it with something a little easier to maintain and I love you solution here. Did you have to do anything special to thread the spigot/valve into the water cooler?
