Jayes 87 L Kitchen Scamp

Hi folks,

I havent been on here for awhile as I havent been doing anything Scampish since last summer BUT that all changed last week when my new to me 87 L Kitchen Scamp was delivered to me in Maine from Arkansas.

This Scamp is going to go through a huge transformation and I am documenting it all on a Facebook page I created:

https://www.facebook.com/Jayes-87-L-...0486405460995/

If the link doesnt work just search Jayes 87 L Kitchen Scamp or you can Google ANBOLINN and the link will come up. ANBOLINN is what I named her!

Anyway, my first project was staining the light wood to dark and my second was installing an air conditioner/heater in the closet. This Scamp has the big bed so the closet is a mere 13 inches. I found an a/c that was 12 inches and the work started.

Here are a few pics of the project. There is a drain tray under the unit and I had to put vents in the shell for intake and exhaust air. I'm really happy with the results and anxious to move to the next project, taking out the fridge.

Hope you enjoy, and sorry the pics are sideways, they werent originally but I havent figured out yet how to fix that!

Jaye

Congratulations on yout new to you Scamp. We had a standard 13’, then after the kids were gone, we got one of the L shaped kitchen models like yours, and really liked it. Happy Trails.

There's also a older, twin bed Scamp 16D out there, and the owner says it is factory original. I've only heard of the one. Scamp has done some cool things with the deluxe series over the years.
