I'm SO impressed - what a great job!

Will you post total cost of renovation once completed? It would be interesting to get a ballpark (well, you can't put a price on 18,000 hours of sweat equity . . . . but the hard costs would still be interesting).

Hi Anne,

I have not kept track of the $ (wish I had) but seriously if I had to guess, I would only put it at maybe $300. Most of the stuff I used was recycled from other projects and things I had lying around the house! I am notorious for checking the dollar fabric table at WalMart and buying anything I think I MIGHT need some day, so most of the fabric I used is from there! I also recycled all of the foam- it was originally my sons furniture from his younger years (those flip over foam chairs and so forth) so that was a HUGE savings. The sink and all of the cabinet doors, plus the drawers are salvaged from the trash of someones kitchen remodel. (it is actually a cool story cause I drove by the house I grew up in which is a couple of hundred miles away from where I live now, they were remodeling the kitchen and had all of that stuff at the curb, so I asked if I could have it, they said yes and I loaded as much as I could fit in the trunk and saved it for SOMETHING SOMEDAY!)

Pretty much all of the money I have spent has been on things like rivets, screws, caulk and construction adhesive! BUT... I still have to come up with the funds for new tires, wheel bearings and getting the windows put in....

BTW... this project has really helped me get the garage cleaned out!

Jaye you did a fantastic job with your Scamp. I found this site tonight looking for information on Bolers. I just recently (3 weeks ago) bought a 78 Boler (my very first trailer) and its given me some great ideas for mine. Thank you for the inspirations.

Hi Jaye!
Was looking for your Scamp pictures to see if there was anything new. But when I go to your website (by link) I can't find anything related to Scamp - I don't even see a "Scamp trailer on the right side" to click on! Is it just me, or is your site under construction?

I have not done the inside shower yet- it is still in the thought stages...

as for the awning, I keep meaning to get some pics of the clamps I used as I don't know what they are called, but I haven't taken them yet
What I used are just little metal u shaped springy clamps that I got at the hardware store-I think they are meant to hold conduit or something, I have used them in the garage to hang rakes etc if that helps to identify them! Anyway, I put 3 of them on the roof and the PVC just snaps right into them. I can easily do it alone AND the awning stayed put through our last downpour and strong wind so I am happy with it! Here a a real crude drawing till I remember to take a photo!

Aha...

Thanks for that info...

I tried to access the photos this morning, as well, and got nothing...

For me, Firefox is the culprit... I opened the page in IE and the link is there...

On the way to view now...

;0))

I especially liked the storage table with the plexiglass top... Ingenious! Likewise the clear sink cover, so you can easily see how many dirty dishes are in there...

If you are using Firefox, the link is not available. I had to switch to IE, and the link was there...

Then perhaps it's my Ad Block Plus, or another add on... I deactivated Ad Block Plus, and refreshed the page, but still no go... Hmmm...

OK...

Here are the direct links... The first is for the 78 Scamp, and the second included both the 78 and the 84... I suggest you skip the first, LOL...

I just checked them in preview, and they do work with Firefox, so hopefully they will work, period...
