Kneelers

Supposedly, the 5er would have fit in the third bay if it didn't have the 3" lift and the front roof vent. We were able to easily remove 1.5" of the lift, but still too tight at the front, so like any well mannered trailer, we taught it to kneel. A couple of the half-sized piano dollys from Harbor Freight, a modified crank, and away we go. We even got lucky with a seam in the driveway in just the right spot for raising it to hitch height.

I set it on a jack stand once it's inside so there isn't any significant load on the dolly wheels except when its moving.

John:

What is the height of the garage door? If this would work for us we would be able to fit it in our garage for the winter but we do have extra lifters on the frame because of the Tundra.

Our garage doors are nominally 9' high. This particular bay is 106 3/4". The trailer had a 3" lift and would fit using the same technique until I added the canoe rack. I offset the canoe rack by reducing the lift 1.5".

Greg thinks he can make it work. We don't have to worry about a canoe rack since the canoe is older then me and you would need hernia surgery trying to put it on top.
