The rules covering the colour of lights
and placement or them are actually the same across Canada.
"Lights and reflectors meeting the U.S. SAE/DOT regulations, the European ECE regulations, or the Japanese JIS/JASIC regulations are allowed" Meaning most US, European and Japanese tail lights
on cars and trailer are legal here in Canada. We do have some differences in requirements when it comes to side markers though.
White is restricted in Canada on the rear of the vehicle to only back ups or licence plates though.
