Here's a twelve volt model on Amazon. It has a battery backup, led display is lit at night.

I have the Lacrosse model listed above. I found it at a truck stop. Truck stops have a lot of 12 volt appliances and are good places to shop. Since I had the clock in our previous Escape I asked ETI to run an extra 12 volt cable to where I knew it would be visible from the bed. To make it visible without taking up valuable counter space I used a magnetic cabinet door latch and now suspend the clock from the underside of the upper cabinet.

Some extra cord allows the clock to be stored in the cabinet when travelling.

The criteria for the clock is not only the alarm but the fact the clock has a well lit display that is always on, making it easy to read the time at all hours.

...our alarm clock comes in the form of a Bose stereo. It has a clock & timer, plays c.d's plus, plus!!

It is lit 24/7 and uses shore power.

When we go glamping we always use 'lectricity and never go boon docking. (each to their own!!)

MMMMM, camping shouldn't even allow an alarm clock. I tossed my alarm clock 8 years ago when I retired. Now it's only light-thirty or dark-thirty and I've never been late yet

I don't use an alarm clock for the alarm/wake me up aspect. If I wake up and it is still dark outside, I want to know what time it is. My camping alarm clock is one of those auto-set electric clocks; plug it in an it sets itself. Very convenient. If I don't have hook-ups, I default to a Timex indigo beside the bed. For those rare occasions I have to be up at a certain time, I use the alarm on the cell phone.

We use our Samsung smartphone with a clock app. You can set the color of the display and the brightness. It does include an alarm function. Though retired the alarm function is useful for the 'fulltime traveler' and maybe not needed so much for the weekend camper. Sometimes you need to wake to catch a ferry or....

We use the phone because it's free, very adjustable and one less thing to carry. Like Jim we use NightClock.
