Look my baby is getting a new floor!

Before....ugly old grey carpet after.... a lovely oak lamanante or how ever you spell that. I would like to know just who told Casita that grey carpet goes with tan on the walls. We got a heck of a deal on flooring at Lowes. I think we spent more on trim than flooring but anyway it is going to look great when its done. Sorry i couldn't wait to show you guys the finished product. Hopefully soon!

Cool!

I was close to doing it in there several times myself.
I think I can hear the cussing from here in advance about the non-square walls too?
Dave is gonna have some fun.

He was doing great until he had to cut the first piece that went from the bottom of the fridge towards the bench seat. It is crazy how not square things are. But we live in a 100 year old farm house so we have been there before! It's about 1/3 of the way done, hopefully he can finish up tonight.

lol i can relate to the farm house. my house started out as a warehouse for a hardware store, then in 1898 they moved it acrossed the road to make way for the train station. there isn't a thuing that square or plumb in the whole house. everthing has to be custom fit to avoid gaps.

we are thinking once our carpet gets nasty and needing replacement that we will put down a laminate floor. i sort of like the looks of a cork floor.
