Looking for Bigfoot 5th wheel owners...

Winter projects continue in our Bigfoot 5th wheel. Bunks have been added and kitchen will be installed straight beside the stove. (No more L-shaped counter) The dinette/gauncho seating and table was removed and seeks new owners. It's too cold to start painting.

Curious to see the interiors of other Bigfoot 5th wheel owners. This is our first but we had Bolers before and had lots of fun remodeling them too.

Looking forward to camping this summer.

I missed this ages ago, but we are relatively new owners of a Bigfoot 5th Wheel. She's a 1988 tandem axle and we love her! Like you, we'd like a straight kitchen but we're too chicken to tackle that project.

I just set up a registry using photos from last year that you should be able to see here:

If the link doesn't work, you can go to my profile and see it.

Can't wait to see more of your reno!

Sorry, the app doesn't seem to want to open your file. Can't seem to locate it on your profile either. Would love to see your BF.

Here are a few photos. We need to take some newer ones, but this is what she looked like when we got her.

We've only done a couple things:
1. We removed the table (and put it in storage) and replaced it with two small tv trays that tuck between the kitchen and the small gaucho.
2. We "recovere" the gauchos in large, striped blankets.
3. We removed the blinds and curtains and replaced them with bamboo rolling shades.
4. The previous owner had replaced almost all the lights with LEDs, but we added some photo filter paper pieces to soften the color (turn them from bright white to softer white).
5. Upgraded to a foam mattress.

There are a few things that we're thinking of doing, but for now, she works really well. There's an issue with the water heater -- apparently, it doesn't divert, so I think we need to replace those valves. We're also not huge fans of the furnace -- it's loud and inefficient and will turn on and then off again before it has time to send any warm air out. I guess that could be a thermostat issue. We had a Wave 3 in our Scamp and LOVED it so we're contemplating removing the furnace altogether.

Also worth noting is that the awning came off in a wind storm between Canada and the US so we need to do something to replace it. You can see the awning in the attached photo and might notice it's missing in others.

And we tow with a 1997 Dodge 2500 now, not the Tundra. She weighs more than the manufacturer stated and we were a little close on maxing out the Tundra.

We changed the awning as well. Lucky us to have a newer model on our house so we took it and replaced thebhouse one with a different style to avoid head bumping the arms when entering the sunroom. Bought a new awning fabric and that will be added once all the rest is finished. Beautiful inside and out pics. Well done.

our kitchen shot

So glad Steve & Rosemary found their Bigfoot. We've haven't been online here regularly for some time and enjoy other BF owners finding their own ultimate camper!

Here's a shot of our kitchen arrangement from this weekend. I'm sitting on the top step of what Laura likes to call "the tree house." Also of note is the fact that the previous owners painted everything white so there is a feeling of being much brighter.

We just arrived home after one of our best camping experience with excellent weather that included a visit to the Kentucky Horse Park as well as an 11 mile ride on our bicycles. Hope y'all are enjoying your summer too!
