Lower Closet Door / Small Bedside Table

took out my propane heater and put in a new door/ flip up table instead.. recycled wood and leg is made of recycled aluminum from large roof antenna. need to buy a pin.. so I can remove the leg ...and still need a latch for the door to keep it closed.

Brent,
I love, love, love this! What a great idea. I have wanted a night stand for years. Although my Burro has never had a furnace and I don't have an opening to cover up, I can still mount a flip up table under my closet door. Genius.
Thanks for sharing.
Shirley

Brent awesome idea & one I have not seen before! Is that a second door on the side to use when the table is up so you dont need to crawl under the table to get stuff out?

thanks Donna and Carol! Carol... I should make that into a door too. The previous owner pulled the original burro heater out and installed a different one where the table exists. When I bought the trailer I patched the original heater hole with the wood for temporary fix.

LOL sorry if I just added to your list of future projects ;-) but adding adjustable wire shelves to the lower part of my closet is at the top of the list of better mods I have done - made the space far more usable/functionable.

That is a brilliant idea. It made me think of another possibility like a pull out shelf similar to ones used in a kitchen or office desk. Obviously have to have an open slot available in the cabinet. Sample pic here.

I just recently photographed an RV shelf mod that I saw at the Copake rally. The owners had replaced their fridge with a shorter model and took advantage of the extra space to build a pullout shelf. Nice size to it, too.
