Make a Flat Screen TV look a little more vintage to match your traier

I realize that he made his flat screen TV a bit more vintage than most of our trailers but one could use the same concept to make it look a bit more 70' or 80's ish.......https://plus.google.com/photos/11541...009?banner=pwa

I like this... lets see 70s? Humm paint the frame in an avocado color? My trailer is 80s... so that means "almond."

Yep, my '72 is Avocado. Donna D. is always right on. But I'm not going to paint my flat screen, sorry. The one above does look cool though.

Greg the flat screen is not painted - it just has a false front on it - follow the original link I posted and you will see he shows how make and put the whole thing together.

Thats' fantastic. Great workman ship goes well with the rest of the trailer. If you're apposed to deconstructing the original TV I'm sure a false front could be hung over the existing frame.

Book marked and filed under "projects that I'll never get around too"

At first I thought I would make a joke about it then I looked at the picture. Outstanding. To bad they don't market these things.

Talking Some of us are authentically old, not just pretending

I have an "old" TV set in the Fiber Stream, if 10 years count.

That is SOOO cool. Some people know how to decorate! That looks like more effort than I'm up to....
Hey how about just putting a frame with a domed glass over it? Should be able to get one from a frame shop. I'd paint mine golden yellow like my stovetop!

Great idea. I collect old tube radios (pre 1942) & retro looking tvs & thought this was kind of interesting also. I doubt if I would buy one though.

I remember when The Adirondack Airstream was first built, it was and still is the most beautiful trailer I have ever seen. Dorsey outdid his self on that one, a true work of art.
