I have a Fantastic-fan with a Camco Aero-Flo RV Roof Vent Cover. I think the shape mitigates any fuel economy loss. I like the access to the FF for cleaning from the top.

Speaking of screw holes, the new fantastic fan installs have no screws, they are using a clamp system.

We have a 2001 Scamp and would like to replace the original vent with a fan. The whole for the fan is a rectangle...not the standard 14X14 square. Any suggestions on which fan we could use in he rectangle? Also, we would prefer one with a remote.

Welcome to FGRV, Jimmie.....most standard vents and openings are 14x14, perhaps you confused an escape hatch are your vent? they maybe different sizes. Was there an existing fan in the vent with power to it? If not then there are some threads here modifying a larger opening to the standard 14 x 14 vent opening.

Thanks for the welcome, Jim. Our main problem is that our 2001 SCAMP was not ordered by the 1st owner to include an air conditioner. We are trying to help out that problem (somewhat) by putting in a fan that would blow out hot air and pull in some fresh air. We are not interested in trying to put an air conditioner in the scamp. Our original plan was to put in a fantastic fan, but see that they only come in 14X14 square and our vent is a rectangle.

MaxxFan is also 14 x 14, here is an old thread on installing fans in the hatch to help
trading vent hatch for a fan
