Bill and I spent the weekend building in the microwave and installing laminate flooring in the Companion. It wasn't nearly as difficult as we thought it would be. Should be a lot easier to keep clean.

Hi,

Very nice job. We want to do the same in our trillium but are unsure as to how to attach the wood floor to the existing fibreglass. I don't want to drill a lot of holes.

I had to chuckle when I saw your sign beside the microwave because our lab is named Liberty. I hope she doesn't see that picture or she's going to want her name on our trailer too, lol.

The floor isn't nailed to the fiberglass. It is a "floating floor". We have helped one of the kids put this in his house too. It is fairly easy. Years ago I had a Doberman named Liberty, she was my favorite dog of my entire life.

Karen,
Beautiful floor! What kind of wood is it? I would love to install something like that.

It's laminate flooring, supposed to be more durable than wood. I think about $1.50 a squre foot. We bought it at Menards.
