OK - here's the (kinda sorta) final result:

We decided that the removable bed extensions in plan #5 were to fussy too be day-to-day practical and so settled on plan #4.

Newest changes are to make the kitchen larger to fit in a 22" three burner drop in range, windows, roof fans and outside storage access doors added and the closet was changed to a hanging locker over a slightly deeper cabinet.

The plan - as laid out seems to focus a LOT of relatively heavy stuff at the BACK - how's this lil puppy going to balance? Will it have enough tongue weight to be a nice tow?

I'd been meaning to look at the effect on tongue weight and your post reminded me to do it. Moving the 50# refrig forward, adding an 80# range and removing the 25# microwave creates about a 100 ft lb moment about the axle - that means about 10# less tongue weight if the hitch ball is 10' ahead of the axle. I'm guessing a bit on the numbers but I'm confident the change is not much.

I'm removing the jack knife sofa which looks to be about right over the axle so no tongue weight effect. I don't know how much Snoozy's weighs but Camping World lists a 68" jack knife sofa at 265# If so, the changes will cause a net weight reduction of about 150#.

I'll also add a 20# fiberglass propane tank to the tongue which will increase tongue weight 10# when empty, almost 30# when full.

Gaining tongue weight is easier than losing it IMO. Just fill the fresh water tank and some cargo in the underbed storage, add something to the tongue like a generator, extra battery, some bikes, etc. It'll be up to 350 in no time!

I agree that reading and looking at everyone's plans is a lot of fun.
Not to mention my wish list keeps getting longer.

I like the idea the Snoozy has no "supporting" walls like in a house.
I also watch remodeling shows and that can be a bummer if you want
to open two rooms to make one and find a support wall can not be moved.

Course the designers just regroup and still come up with some great designs.

By the time I can order a Snoozy there will a lot of "options' to think about.
If I get too big a head ache, I can always go with the original design. It's
already a great trailer to begin with. The Snoozy team has an awesome product.
