Thru Fitting

Paul, Very happy with the fitting.

I used the RA140 shown on the following link.

Glomex - The best in Marine Antennas - GAMMA PRODOTTI

I drilled a pilot hole followed by a larger drill for the center cable hole.

I filled the RA140 with Lexal to seal it. I then drilled 3 pilot holes for stainless screws, filled the holes with more Lexal and screwed the into a Lexal bath, wiping it clean afterward.

I had 2-40 watt panels. If I were doing it over I would use a single panel. Incased the panel wires in split corrogated cable cover available at Walmarts.

So where did you buy it at?
I see the link is in Italy.
Is there another brand available more locally?

Also. what is Lexal?
Googled it/ no luck.

What about a "cableclam"? For the wire.
Amazon has for sale.

Thank you kindly Norm and for posting that detailed shot. Again a really smooth looking job on your part.

Steve - you can select English language on the Italian link but I also just googled "Glomex RA 140" and got several options here in the states. Buying mine today!

Thanks again for the help

The caulking compound is 'Lexel' not Lexal, my mis-spelling. I use it to hold replacement caps on. It will not stick to Silicone and is supposed to be better.

When putting the caps on I had to remove the silicone the previous owner had used and did not work very well.

Sorry for the error. You cam buy it on Amazon, Home Depot and some hardware stores. It comes in white and clear. I use the clear.

My connector was a gift from a boat installer.
