<span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:100%">Just noticed the other day that Yahoo Photos is giving everyone till 9/20/07 to move their pics or they will be deleted! Gads! Luckily they are providing several options, and the move is no big deal...

I created a new album for my Scamp pics- I don't have "new" pictures right now, but the old slide show is now located here if you haven't seen it before:

Thanks for letting everyone know Jaye. Websites that shut down is one of the reasons we would prefer that folks not link photos (and they're usually too big). We've lost some great pictures and valuable modification information due to linking. Too bad.

Jaye,

That is an awesome renovation!

Starting at $368 and in such dire straits, definitely a labor of love. I would be curious if you know what the final cost is to the point your at now?

I've tracked mine, but haven't totaled everything up yet.

I wish that I had kept track of the money I spent on this project, but I didn't... was in too big of a hurry to build stuff!! If I were guessing though- I would put it at about $300 as most of the stuff I used in it, came from other projects and all I really had to buy was fiberglass, rivets, plexiglass etc.

All of the fabirc, I already had.. (I sew alot and pick up fabric when its cheap for some unknown future use!) and all of the cushions, I recycled them from my sons outgrown foam furniure, like those flip out chairs they have at WalMart. The drawers, cupboards etc... came from the house I grew up in- happened to pass by it one day and they were gutting the kitchedn and I asked if I could have the stuff the were discarding... came home with everything including the kitchen sink and used that in the Scamp too!

So... my son gets all over me for collecting stuff that he sees no purpose in, but eventually, I am always glad I dragged it home!!! In fact, I have enough left over still that I really wish I could find another old beat up Scamp so I could get the garage cleaned out!!!

Thanks for viewing, and it is my labor of love!

Jaye

My daughter is going to 'library school' and passed on this interesting link to a place where they archive websites, called the Wayback Machine:

http://www.bibalex.org/ISIS/archive_web.htm

Don't know if URLs can be changed to link through the Wayback Machine to old sites.

I did not paint the ensolite(except for the stencil on the seams. ) Many coats of bleach and pressure washering brought the old ensloite back to life!

I was going to say I believe that's Charles, but I see the image title makes that I KNOW that's Charles, driving his Tree-finding Casita...

Ding, ding, ding!

Of course, when he posted it, the Casita and Suburban were on the same level as the tree... I don't know why the vehicles are backing into the leafy part of the tree now. (YMMV?)

Thanks so much for posting so many shots of your work in progress. You're an inspiration. I'm just getting my feet wet with trailer renovations, and seeing the images of other people's work is much more informative than just text. If I read a description of all the stuff you did, I would never think 'sure, I can do that' but, somehow the photos inspire me to think just that, and to tear into my trailer. I hope you're out enjoying the results!

Global warming! The glacier-melt has caused the soil beneath the tree to get soft and it has sunk...

It occurs to me that perhaps a pre-hack image of the entire web site is recoverable using the Wayback Machine?
